At The Gear Shed we sell on your behalf, your high-quality, pre-loved sports & outdoor gear at great prices.

The Gear Shed was founded by like-minded sport & outdoor enthusiasts, who love to spend as much time as possible in nature and at the same time protect and preserve our environment.
We believe that in the 21st century, shoppers should be able to buy high-quality, pre-loved gear for affordable prices.
Whether you are an occasional trail runner or a serious mountain climber, our store might have the right item you will need for your next adventure or workout.

The Team of The Gear Shed

WE SELL ON YOUR BEHALF,
BRING YOUR PRE-LOVED GEAR TO US

Drop off your hidden treasures and we will do the rest (by appointment). We also offer a pick up service for an additional fee of NZ$5 (once a week). At the time of drop off, you will fill out your contact details and you will receive an estimated processing date.

We sort and price your items according to it's brand, quality and condition. Have a particular price in mind? Tell us so we can see what's possible.

We will pay you 70% of the selling price on the presentation of your customer number.

Your items will be available for sale for 90 days with possibility of extension, based on seasonality/demand. Items not sold after this period will be reduced by 50% of their initial price and will be displayed for another 30 days. After 120 days, you may pick up your items or donate them (Pick-up must be within 10 days or they become property of The Gear Shed).

Once your items have sold you can collect your money (please let us know beforehand) or we can transfer it to your account.
GUIDELINES FOR THE GEAR SHED
At The Gear Shed we only sell high-quality, pre-loved items.

Items should be clean and fully functional

No stains, tears or other damage

We accept only known brands

Items left with us to process, but not accepted into stock will only be kept for one week (7 days). Items uncollected will become The Gear Shed's property and will incur a $5 storage fee which will be deducted from your proceeds.
Items requiring cleaning by us are subject to a 10% reduction in proceeds.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
At The Gear Shed, we want to give our customers an easy and exceptional experience. That’s why we believe our terms & conditions should be fair, clear, and transparent. Read about them below, and contact us with questions.

Pre-loved items are sold "as is". Please choose carefully as we do not accept any returns from sold items.

We aim to keep your items safe & demage-free at all times. However, items will only be taken into stock on the basis that the owner accepts all risk of loss or demage (including theft) while their items are with us.

You can withdraw your items at any time, but you must do so before their expiry date. We will charge a $5 fee to cover administrative costs in preparing your items for sale.

We ask the owner to take sole responsibility at all times to staying in contact with The Gear Shed for any information concerning their items (accepted into stock, sold, collecting any payments).
